This year’s holiday sale will be December 2 & 3, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, at the studio at 105 N 200the St. in Shoreline. Once again, Rupa Palasamudram will be showing her functional pottery with my acrylic paintings and tiles. This will be the 50th consecutive year that I’ve had a holiday sale at my home or studio.
The studio sale will be three days this year, instead of the usual two, to let people spread out a little. It will be December 3-5, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. In addition to my tiles and paintings, we’ll have Rupa Palasamudram’s functional pottery. Bring your mask and come on by. Bring your friends and buy local! If you need directions, call 206-919-2664.
I’m having a show of my paintings that opens November 6. It’s at Brace Point Pottery, which is owned by my friend Loren Lukens. Showing with my paintings will be wood carvings by another friend, Kurt Johnson. Loren and Kurt and I have been hiking and camping together for over 35 years.
The juniper tree is around the corner from our house, and I saw this almost full moon one night from my bedroom window.
Here’s another in the Bark & Birds series.
Since I don’t have any new tile pieces to show you, here’s an acrylic painting form my Bark & birds series.
The sale will be a little different this year (isn't everything?). Just my tiles and paintings and Rupa Palasamudram's pots. We'll have all the doors and windows open, masks required, one party of any size at a time. To accommodate more parties, we'll be open everyday from Saturday November 28 through Sunday December 6, 10 am - 5 pm. To book a time slot call or text 206-919-2664 or email pjlewing@comcast.net. And sorry, no treats this year.
It's been a tough year for all of us. We're counting on you to buy local this season. And November 29 is Artist Sunday
Art fairs cancelled. Galleries and gyms closed. Workshops cancelled. Snow in the mountains. Result: lots of free time and a new series of paintings that I’m really excited about! So I’ve decided to hold an Open Studio (as in REALLY OPEN, with all the doors and windows open). This will be July 24 through 28, Friday through Tuesday, 10 am – 5 pm. We’ll have reserved time slots to avoid crowds, and all the usual precautions. Save the dates and I’ll be getting back to you with details when we’re closer to the event. I’ll have my tiles and a lot of small paintings as well, but for a preview of the new series, go to http://www.paullewingart.com/www.paullewingart.com/Landscapes.html and scroll down to the bottom.
This is a small (11” x 14”) acrylic painting that I recently did for a guy I met at this campsite on Ross Lake, in North Cascades National Park. When I was there, he was at the island to bury the ashes of a friend of his under the big rock you see in the picture above the campsite.
All set up and ready for the Studio Sale, tomorrow and Sunday, 10-5. My tiles and paintings, Rupa Palasamudram's pottery, and Stephanie Benson's jewelry.
